3:00pm Arriving at Chloe's house, we began to set up the location in her bedroom. This time, we decided to put a white bed sheet up against her bed for the background and have the shoe chair in front of it. Hair, makeup and clothes didn't take too long as only one person was to be in the shot
3:30pm We put the music in the speakers on repeat and flipped the screen of the video camera around so that Scarlett could see if she was in the shot as she would be moving throughout the song. We had a problem as we couldn't fit the whole of the chair in as the white sheet wasn't big enough to to hide all of the background if we were zoomed out so far. We decided to get Scarlett's top half in the shot as this is most important and you could still see the chair was shoe shaped. We shot the footage with more in the background than we would show as we wanted to have the full chair in the scene so that when editing, we could zoom in on different places, for example a tilt on the artist.
4:30pm After playing the song a number of times and trying out different poses on the chair, we decided we had enough footage and stopped filming. We made sure to look back on the footage as we didn't do this last time and hadn't realised how bad the location looked before. We liked the idea of having a white material background, although you could see drapes in the material however we quite liked this look and decided to keep it.
