Reshoots

We decided to reshoot two of our scenes as they weren't quite what we wanted.

Sparkler Scene
The first scene we reshot was the sparkler scene. Originally, we filmed during the day as this was the only time we could get all the girls together however on the day one of them couldn't make it. This meant that there were different people in the sparkler scene than in the rest and this may confuse the audience. The sparklers we used didn;t have a very big spark and as it was daylight, barely showed up. We had planned to edit in the darkness, however looking back on the footage we decided reshooting it would be the best option.

This is what the original sparkler footage looked like:

Here is what the reshoot footage looked like:

We felt the reshoot footage looked a lot better as we shot it in the dark which made it look more realistic. We also made sure we had better sparklers that were brighter, and because it wasn't light outside they showed up a lot better.

Shoe Chair Scene
The second piece of footage we decided to reshoot was the lip syncing shoe chair scene. We didn't like the originally footage because of the background and outfit choice. We hadn't planned an outfit very well and didn't like that it was just black and white everywhere as we wanted it to clash a bit with the chair. We also couldn't find a plain background to put the chair on, or anywhere that looked good.

Here is what the original footage looked like:

You can clearly see there are curtains in the background and that it is in the same room that the getting ready scene was shot in. We also had to cover radiators up with animal print fur coats but looking back on the footage, we realised this location was awful and we couldn't use it.

Here is what the reshoot footage of the shoe chair scene looked like:

We hung a piece of white material in the background to hide anything in the background. We couldn't fit the whole body and shoe in with the material in the background  so we decided to shoot it like this and zoom in the areas we wanted when editing. This worked well as this is what the edited footage looked like:
